Helping Farxiyo Shelter Her Family

In 2021, we ran a successful GoFundMe campaign to help Farxiyo, a single mother with 4 children under the age of 11, expand her business and provide shelter for her children while she worked.

Farxiyo runs a stand in Mogadishu selling flatbread and tea, which she had originally set up outside against a wall. With nobody available to look after her children, they sat and slept outside beside her as she worked,

Thanks to the genorosity of our doners, our GoFundMe campaign to help Farxiyo raised £930 in a week! We were therefore able to help provide her with a mobile stall, a small fridge and a cooker.
